AMR ski and board rental is locally owned and operated. This is our 20th year in business with the same ownership and management. With only one location in the City Market Plaza next to the Gondola our location can't be beat. Our shop atmosphere  is casual and relaxed. Very non corporate. We take the time to ensure that you are happy and well equipped to go out and get the most of your vacation dollars. 

Our equipment is better than regular rental equipment. We buy in-line retail skis and boards for rental so you're not getting some basic old rental gear. You're getting great gear and at resonable rates too! This year we are featuring Atomic Blackeye TI and Armada El Rey skis and Arbor Rockered boards in our most popular Better rental package. We want our customers to be on the same kind of equipment our friends and family are using. Instructors from ski and ride school love seeng our customers in their classes and they can tell as soon as they see our gear. We get great feedback from them and our customers. Check out our Demo list. This year we are offering Demos from some of the most exciting small independent manufacturers out there. The attention to detail and new innovative products they are making is leading the industry with rave reviews. We carry the big guys too. So if you've been reading about some specific skis and boards, chances are we have them. Our rental boots are tops too. We have a great selection to fit all kinds of feet. We carry Head, Salomon and Nordica boots. New 3-buckle freestyle and 4-buckle boots give a great fit and a great look. Our snowboard boots all feature Boa systems witout laces for easy use and performance. Great gear = great FUN! That's what we want you to have.

Our employees have been with us for years. Mostly we are telemark skiers who came from either  an alpine ski or snowboard background. So we really know the ins and outs of skiing and boarding. We love to give tips to our customers which really help them excel on the hill. We are all dedicated to being on the mountain every day and it shows. Plus we are all longtime locals and a few local kids of our longtime local friends. We don't need to hire anyone who just moved to town. Which means you get knowledge and experience other shops might not provide. Expecially the bigger shops. At AMR our employees are helpful. We know the skiing community and  the town. 

AMR has the best location in town. In between the City Market grocery and the Gondola we have it all within footsteps. Years ago before the gondola was put in, this was the far end of town. We had to provide great service, equipment and prices to get people in the door. Now within walking distance from the Gondola we have a lot more people stopping by. But that hasn't changed our attitude. We have so many loyal customers from over the years who have gotten used to the way we do business that we've stayed the same. We've grown and expanded over the years, and with more customers, we're able to offer more high-quality gear. This year is even better than ever. We are a tight-knit team of experienced skiers and riders. We like each other and push ourselves to achieve greatness in all aspects of our winter lives. Being open every day from 8am - 9pm we can assure that every member of our staff can get out on the hill every day!
